National Library Week

April 11 to 17, 2010 is National Library Week. The theme for National Library Week 2010 is “Communities thrive @ your library.” All types of libraries take part in this annual celebration honoring the contributions of librarians and libraries around the nation. Read the National Library Week Fact Sheet to learn more.

Your local library is a valuable resource. You can borrow a wide variety of books, audio books, movies, and video recordings. Many libraries offer educational and entertaining programs such as storytime for children, computer training, genealogy training, and hobby groups. My local library’s website has a Library Value Calculator to estimate how much you can save by using your local library.
